The Hard Truth About What’s Happening in the Research Space

Let’s Be Real for a Minute
I’m dumbfounded that this is still happening. I’m going to be real with you right now — I’m struggling with this business. It’s super hard not to be jealous of the success other people are having in this space.
And I’m not talking about the ones that are doing it right with proper testing and safety protocols. They’ve put in the time and effort — total props to them. I’m also not referencing any particular retailers or sources, just the ones that are implementing sketchy practices.
The Alarming Trend
More and more are popping up every time I turn around. It’s disturbing because what I’m seeing is one of two things:
1. Either researchers simply don’t have a clue what they are doing, or
2. Researchers simply don’t care about quality and safety — just price.
I’m over here doing everything possible to make sure I’m providing a safe environment and a trusted product lineup, while they’re selling record numbers off the shelves with untrusted COAs or no COAs at all — admitting that this is how they’re keeping prices down.
This is so dangerous, not only for the safety of the researchers but for our research community as a whole. We might as well hand our health over on a silver platter to the FDA. This space is already under so much scrutiny.
When a source admits prices are low because they don’t do third-party testing — red flag.
And if a price seems crazy low, there’s a reason why!
Doing It the Right Way Isn’t Always the Easy Way
I’ll be honest with you — it’s discouraging to watch. I’m pouring everything I have into making sure what I provide is tested, safe, and trustworthy, because I truly care about this space and the people in it.
Yet I see others cutting corners, skipping testing, and still flying products off the shelves. It’s frustrating, and at times it feels like doing things the right way doesn’t “pay off.”
But here’s the truth: shortcuts only look good in the moment. When the dust settles, the ones who stood for safety, transparency, and integrity will be the ones still standing. That’s the future I’m building for — even if it’s the harder road right now.
A Call to Responsibility
So I’m asking you — don’t just look at the price tag. Look at the practices. Look at the testing. Look at the values behind what you’re supporting. Every single choice matters.
